Overview
Arkayne is an exciting start-up with an innovative Internet search technology. Unlike most popular search methods today that rely on keywords, Arkayne compares all text on a page and matches it with relevant content, which can be within your site or across a designated partner network. Arkayne presents this content in the form of links (“the new currency of the web”), helping sites retain visitors and introducing a broader audience while improving website performance. We have recently added a highly social-media focused feature set to our plugin allowing websites to connect together via CrossLinks to and from contextually relevant content.  We are currently recruiting a Marketing Engineer to join our Marketing and Sales team. You will have the chance to contribute among different dimensions: conceptualization, research, and implementation in both a Sales and Marketing role. You will be working closely with customers and communicating directly with the development team, continuously improving the product and feature set.

Responsibilities
Prepare customer collateral materials and presentations
Present to Enterprise customers in person, on the phone, or via a web conference
Work with affiliates and partner organizations
Support bloggers and Enterprise customers with installs and technical questions
Work with the development team to identify enhancements and prioritize feature sets
Work to grow blogger adoption of the Arkayne Plugin
Work closely with cross-functional team
Contribute to the Arkayne Blog on a weekly basis
Take on additional roles as needed to help us build a great company and product

Preferred Experience
Experience in technical marketing and sales in a professional client environment
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Must have a strong understanding of Internet marketing and sales strategies including experience:
•   Creating and executing a marketing plan
•   Identifying target customer segments and developing marketing strategies
•   Developing marketing materials including but not limited to presentations, brochures, website text, descriptive product information, feature descriptions, press releases, etc.
•   Developing sales materials including but not limited to call scripts, template emails, pricing structures, sales process, etc.
•   Developing, implementing and tracking marketing campaigns for ROI and reach
•   Developing, implementing, and managing an Affiliate Program
•   Coding in HTML, CSS, Python, PHP, or C++ a plus

Skills
Strong understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) practices
Strong understanding of Google AdWords and online advertising
Ability to represent the company in a positive and professional manner
Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
Must possess a strong understanding of web-based businesses, including but not limited to:
•   Hosting and maintenance of website
•   Development of websites
•   Driving focusing traffic to websites
•   Converting traffic to a sale
•   Increasing unique visitors and time on site and reducing bounce rates

Education
Degree in Computer Science, Marketing, Engineering or comparable technical education a plus

Compensation
Negotiable based on skill set
