What Is Relevant Content?

Relevant content is what you get when you stop looking at just words and start looking at the entire document.  Why do this?  Because unlike words documents have writing style, persona, theme, topic, and idea.  These nuances are lost when a document is reduced to keywords. With billions of online blogs, pages, and editorials nuances are increasingly becoming important in making creating links users follow.

Lets take for example this document.  Broken into keywords you get “relevant, content, documents, words, blogs”.  The set is adequate for tags or even meta keywords.  For the billions of other bloggers looking to link with relevant content this is not nearly enough to make a good decision.  There are at least a few hundred variations on the “relevant, content, documents, words, blogs” theme.  How do you summarize an entire post in the 3.2 keywords a typical search engine user types in?  It’s tough getting noticed and conveying your entire document using a few keywords to someone scanning hundreds of search results looking for the right one to link in their new article. There’s someone out there wanting to link to this specific article with its own style, persona, theme, topic, and idea, how do they find it?  If only there was a Twitter for blogs…

There is, its called Arkayne.  By using something like Arkayne to create an online profile encompassing your blog or editorial from which links can be pulled by other authors online.  Arkayne provides you a simple plugin that displays relevant links from your site and injects them into the Arkayne system for inclusion by others.  Authors who trust your content can then choose to follow you and have Arkayne do the time intensive analysis of document style, persona, theme, topic, and idea to recommend cross links.  The key is that Arkayne matches documents from the collection of followers to generate links.  So you can control who you follow and know you’re getting only relevant content from those profiles.
