Getting Noticed in the Community

Arkayne is about getting noticed when you have something relevant to say. When we came up with the first business model for Arkayne, which we thought was very relevant, we went to several marketing firms to seek help in getting us noticed. Turns out we weren’t quite ready to be noticed! We’ve come a long way since then…

Our team shares a common vision: to create a thriving technology entrepreneurial environment in the Phoenix valley. This means advancing efforts to align the local universities, the state & local government, and local capital ($$$) with the ideas of local inventors.

So, after flushing out our business plan, developing a much more robust & scalable platform, and fine tuning our message, we began to get out in front of the local & national community; we began to get noticed.

The team first met through an important local community organization called ATIF, (the Arizona Technology Investment Forum), an active angel investing group with close affiliation to ASU. Two members of our management team are early members of this organization and guide the deal flow as selection committee members. ATIF ultimately supported Arkayne with early funding. We also introduced Arkayne to the Arizona Angels (of Phoenix) and the Tucson Desert Angels.

Once we achieved strong support & momentum in the important fundraising process, we began concentrating on internet and search marketing groups as an area of potential partnering, and have attended our first Search Engine Marketing Professionals Organization (SEMPO) Arizona meeting in June. We have also participated in a SEMPO event in New York, and based on the positive reception from this community, we plan to rapidly expand our efforts with the Search Engine Marketing community across the U.S.

True to our vision for and commitment to a strong Arizona technology entrepreneurial community, we have also recently participated in an AZ Tech Council CEO retreat in Sedona with many successful local Arizona based businesses. This was great exposure for Arkayne, and resulted in several newly identified opportunities for partnering. We applaud the efforts the Arizona Technology Council is making to promote high tech businesses in the Valley of the Sun!
