Arkayne’s Freemium Model

Arkayne currently has a solid product called the Arkayne Plugin. This product serves two types of customers: 1. Free customers 2. Free customers who want advanced features. In this post I’ll talk about what the difference is between a regular Arkayne account and an advanced Arkayne account, and how you can determine which option is the right choice for you.

The Arkayne Plugin was created on the “Freemium” model, meaning that the Plugin is currently free, with optional paid upgrades. With the free version we offer InnerLinks and CrossLinks and the ability to create an advanced profile with twitteresque usability that lets you and others find content on the Arkayne Network that is similar to yours that you might be interested in following. In certain cases, it’s mandatory for someone to upgrade to our paid service (don’t worry, we’ll notify you when your account requires paid services), and here’s why:

The Freemium version of the Arkayne Plugin has a maximum allowance of 2000 pages total (this includes all archived or previous uploaded material prior to the installation of the Arkayne Plugin) and a monthly allowance of 50 pages per month, per account. Some power bloggers/publishers/companies just have way to much archived and monthly content to fall within these constraints. If you think you’re site is capable of remaining within these guidelines, then It should business as usual, but if you know that you have 2000+ archived pages and publish 50+ pages per month then we ask that you contact us so we can discuss how to get you set up.

Some optional paid upgrades that you may consider include:

>Advanced Plugin Customization (CSS, Colors, etc…)

Those are just some of the ways Arkayne can improve the experience outside the Freemium version of the Plugin, although we must say the Freemium version is pretty scrumtrulescent !
